We write to invite you to the first evening meeting of the new academic year. The purpose of the meeting will be to guide you through your child’s up-coming year of secondary education and to ensure your child can manage the new demands of Year 8.

In order to support your child through this year at Gladesmore, your attendance is crucial as we will:

• Issue you with the Parents copy of the Year 8 booklet ‘A Guide to Year 8’, which outlines all you will need to know about the year ahead
• Explain the new Progress Check so you understand how we record student progress
• Outline the opportunities available that will support student achievement

The evening is scheduled to run from 6.00pm until 7.00pm, doors open at 5.45pm in the Main Hall with access through the Gladesmore Road entrance only.
