Gladesmore Community School

Vacancies & Training

Headteacher

Competitive Remuneration Package

Gladesmore is a thriving, local community school and a beacon in Tottenham. As a diverse, aspirational and inclusive 11 – 16 school, we provide young people with a happy and successful environment within which to learn and achieve. Currently we have over 1250 on roll. The school serves a community of high economic disadvantage; typically, over 50% of our pupils are eligible for free school meals, but that is no barrier to their success.

Our school thrives because our culture is based on everyone living our values – Respect, Enthusiasm, Aspiration, Co-operation and Hard work. We have benefited from strong leadership, a consensual and pragmatic approach and effective partnerships. We work with top educational universities and institutions, as well as local businesses and community organisations.  Ofsted rated us “Outstanding” in October 2024.

The school is in a strong position but we are not complacent. The challenges ahead are greater than ever, as we strive for further academic and pastoral excellence for all our pupils, and for ways to do things even better.  We are therefore looking for an outstanding, dynamic and inspirational leader to work with Governors and the wider community, to lead our vision and turn our future ambitions into a reality.

You will have a demonstrable track record of successful school leadership and will understand the complexities of leading a diverse, inner- city school. You may be an experienced headteacher looking for a new challenge. Alternatively, you may be a deputy headteacher or head of school ready for the next step. Either way, your exceptional inclusive leadership skills and emotional intelligence are likely to set you apart. Your ability to establish relationships with the broadest range of individuals and organisations will be critical to our future success.

You will benefit from an enthusiastic and energetic team of leaders and staff, who are loyal and committed to the successful future of Gladesmore Community School.
