National Careers Week: Framestore
Gladesmore Community School were delighted to mark National Careers Week with a Careers assembly. The theme of our assembly was challenging the stereotypes associated with particular jobs.
For our KS4 students, Framestore (a world-leading Visual Effects company) was the keynote speaker. Amy Smith (Global Director, Recruitment & Outreach) spoke to students challenging their understanding of careers in the creative industry including highlighting the tremendous skills gap in this growing industry and also exploring how students can have fantastic careers in this industry even if their academic interests are not creative. Students were fascinated to learn how skills in physics, computer science and biology were essential to the creation of incredible visual effects.
