We are delighted to announce that Gladesmore Community School will be celebrating International Culture and Diversity Day on Thursday 18th of July. This special day is a dedicated celebration of the vibrant diversity within our school community, reflecting our motto & "Included, Respected, United". It is an opportunity for students and staff to come together to honour the cultural richness of our school and the broader Tottenham community. We hope that through this celebration we can all learn about and celebrate cultures and people from all sections of society and from all around the world.

Key Details:

• Non-School Uniform Day: Pupils are encouraged to attend in cultural dress that celebrates their heritage and beliefs, so wear something that represents you. We ask for a minimum donation of £1, which will go towards charity. If your child does not wish to participate, they can wear their school uniform and are not required to donate.
• School Lunches Provided: Our catering staff will be providing a cultural menu. The canteen will be open for break and lunchtime as usual and your child’s thumbprint or pin will work.

Throughout the day, pupils and staff will have the opportunity to enjoy a range of activities and events, including:

• Cultural Assembly: The day will start with a lively assembly featuring cultural performances by both students and staff.
• Fashion Show: Students and staff will have the opportunity to take part in a cultural  catwalk celebrating cultural dress and identity.
• Curriculum Integration: Students will engage in lessons across different subjects, focusing on themes such as culture, community, and journeys across different cultures.
• Lunchtime Activities: Students can participate in henna and face painting and purchase cultural artefacts crafted by their peers in technology classes. They will also have the opportunity to take part in the Cultural Karaoke and purchase food from the stalls.
